I've spent two decades on the side of the ledger where accuracy is non‑negotiable — vessel accounting for an international shipping line, accounts payable and commissions analysis for a sales group, and now remote bookkeeping for business owners around the world, including NDIS providers in Australia. Alongside that, I work as a financial consultant with Pru Life UK. Somewhere in there I picked up a habit: I don't hand back a set of books until I'd stake my own name on every reconciled cent.
Today I work inside Xero and QuickBooks Online day to day — accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end reporting — with a particular fluency in the NDIS sector's reporting needs. Clients get a bookkeeper who answers email like it's part of the job, because it is.
